WHO CAN RACE ?
I do not have a driving licence; can I still race ?
Yes of course, you do not need a driver’s licence to drive a go kart.
We give all newcomers the guidance and training they need before their very first session.
What is the minimum age ?
Minimum age for a cadet kart (junior) is 10, in addition children need to have an inside leg measurement of 25 inches.
Minimum age for Grand Prix events is 16.
Are there any height restrictions ?
Drivers must be over 135cm for cadet karts, and 160cm or over for adult karts.
Is there a maximum weight/ height limit for the karts ?
There is no specific limit on our karts, but we recommend a maximum height of 6’7’’ and a maximum weight of 18 stone, although we do have drivers above this limit that race with us.
If you are unsure feel free to pop down to the track and we can provide a kart test.
If I have a medical conditions or disability, can I race ?
Go-Karting is not recommended for drivers with heart problems, epilepsy or other conditions which may be affected by exertion.
Any conditions that would prevent you from acquiring a driving licence would likely prevent you from being able to race.
It is our duty to provide the opportunity to access karting to as many drivers as possible, however, to meet our duty of care to both out staff and customers, it may be necessary for a dynamic risk assessment to be performed prior to some drivers being permitted to race.
KARTING WITH KIDS
Can my child race on their own without an adult ?
Children can race without an adult in a junior session.
An accompanying adult must be available to spectate.
Can adults and children race together ?
Yes, please book a family/mixed session to race with the children within your booking.
Do you have two-seater karts ?
No, all our karts have single seats
WHAT CAN I WEAR ?
Comfortable clothing is a must.
We provide everything you need to get behind the wheel, including a protective race suit.
We also include disposable balaclavas, gloves and helmets.
All hair must be tied up and tucked into the race suit or helmet.
Scarves and sashes must be removed.
What footwear should I wear ?
Trainers are ideal shoes for karting.
Shoes must cover the whole foot, no open toes/ sandles/ crocs.
No heels or wedges.
Can I wear my own helmet ?
Yes, if they are full face helmets.
All helmets must have a clear visor.
Can I wear my own racewear ?
You are more than welcome to wear your own overalls, but the track staff may check it on the day to confirm it meets requirements.
Motocycle leathers / race suits do not meet the same standard as karting race suits so they cannot be worn.
Can I wear my own GoPro/ Helmet cam ?
GoPros/ Helmet cams must be worn on the helmet, please note that we do not allow chest cameras to be used at our track.
We have very few helmets that have mounts attached to them, however, they may not always be available to use.
You are more than welcome to bring your own mount and use them on our helmets.
Can I wear fancy dress / novelty items / shashes over my race suit ?
When on track, the race suit must cover all clothing however, you are welcome to wear fancy dress when off-track and under your race suit.
BOOKING KARTING AND RESERVATIONS
Do I need to book ?
Pre-booking is essential to guarantee your on-track experience as we have limited space available on each session.
How do I book ?

Do I need to pay a deposit ?
A £5/person non-refundable deposit is payable on booking and balance paid on day.
GENERAL KARTING QUESTIONS
What do I need to bring on the day ?
Please bring with you, your booking confirmation.
Do we run in the wet ?
Yes, we are an outdoor track and during wet conditions we will provide you with waterproof race suits.
However, we strongly advise that you bring a change of clothing with you if you are intending to go out afterwards.
What time do I need to be at the track ?
You need to arrive at least 30 minutes before the race begins.
What happens if I am late ?
While we will always try our best to accommodate you, we cannot delay a race for customers running late.
If you are late, you might lose some track time or might not be able to race at all.
Do you sell food ?
Yes, we sell sweets / snacks that can be found in the fridges near the front desk.
In addition, we sell pizzas, however, please note that we are currently not able to serve vegan pizzas.
Do you serve alcohol ?
No, we do not sell alcohol.
Can I bring my own food ?
Unfortunately, we cannot allow outside food at our track.
Exceptions can be made for individuals with restricted diets / allergies etc..
We do, however, allow birthday cakes to be brought for races celebrating their birthday with us.
Do you have parking ?
Yes, we have parking which is free to all customers and spectators.
Can I wear glasses with my helmet ?
Yes, when wearing glasses with our helmets you will need to remove your glasses first, then put the helmet on.
You then lift the visor and slide the glasses into place.
How fast do the go-karts go ?
Most adult karts can reach up to 56mph, while the junior karts can reach up to 40mph.
