SAFETY

Go-Karting is not recommended for those with heart problems, epilepsy (un medicated) or other conditions which may be affected by exertion (including pregnancy). We recommend a maximum height of 6’7’’ and a maximum weight of 18 stone.

After signing the disclaimer, you will be provided with full protective race suits, helmets, balaclavas, and gloves. These must be always worn whilst out on track. You will then be asked to take a seat in the briefing room where one of our senior marshals will talk thoroughly about how to keep yourselves and others on track safe.

In addition to the flags that are displayed on this page, we also use boards to give those who misbehave warnings. Karting is a non-contact sport; they are Go-karts not bumper karts, and it is unacceptable to be purposely bumping into each other.

Therefore, if we see this, you will be shown a ‘No bumping board’. The calm down board means you are driving too erratically, which may be dangerous for other drivers or yourself. If you ignore any of these boards, you will be given a verbal warning. If this is then overlooked again, then you will be given the black flag. We do not like to do this; however, we want to ensure that the safety of yourselves or others are protected.
